This notice is given by the undersigned in lieu of posting in public places as provided in Section 17, Chapter 15 Public Laws of 1956 as amended. In Witness thereof, we have hereunto set our hands and caused the seal of the Town of North Smithfield to be attached this 8th of January 2026.
If you choose to vote in the Special Referendum Election on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 you may do so at the following polling places: (PLEASE NOTICE THEY REPRESENT A COMBINATION of all the polls)

Registered voters in North Smithfield can vote early at North Smithfield Town Hall starting on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, through Monday, February 2, 2026, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. through 4:00 pm Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

You may visit vote.sos.ri.gov to check the status of your voter registration, view your sample ballot, complete an application for a mail ballot, or locate an official election drop box in Rhode Island.
A notice will be placed in the newsletter once mail ballots are available. If you choose to vote by mail, you must complete an application for a mail ballot by January 13, 2026.
MAIL ballots may be placed in the official election drop box located at the side entrance of the North Smithfield Town Hall no later than 8:00 p.m. on February 3, 2026.
ANY voter who has requested a mail ballot and presents themselves at the polling location will be required to cast a PROVISIONAL ballot.
